Tri-County Alliance of Realtors announces a new committee that will begin working in 2021.  The Diversity Committee has been formed in response to issues in our nation over the past year and to support NAR’s initiative to promote Code of Ethics Article 10-5.  Article 10-5 was approved by NAR’s Board of Directors in November and went into effect immediately.

Tri-County’s Diversity Committee is looking for members.  We will be meeting (virtually at first) on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00am.

We are also asking members and affiliates to provide ideas for how our committee can support members and educate the public about our mission.  Some ideas so far include the following:•    Members perform volunteer service in diverse communities.
•    Members host home buyer classes at organizations (churches, community centers, etc.) whose members are from diverse backgrounds.
•    Members host outreach forums at community colleges.
•    Members take part in educational and information programs designed to educate consumers and Tri-County members and Affiliates on the topic of diversity.
