Like all changes in real estate procedures, we will survive and adapt and, in a couple of years, we will wonder what all of the fuss was about!! BUT, the real key to the TRID changes is going to be client expectations. It will be vital for all of us, realtors, lenders and attorneys, to establish, very early in the process, client expectations.
Clients want to close NOW and have little patience when everything is cleared and ready to close but then they have to wait for whatever reason. Now we have government regulations that require delays which they are not going to want to accept. It is vital that we all let them know what to expect so they will have the patience to work through the process resulting in happy clients and smooth closings !!
